DAY 01 : We will embark on our Shillong trip from Howrah Railway Station.

 

DAY 02 : Arrival at Guwahati Railway Station and Journey to Shillong.
Upon arrival at Guwahati Railway Station, begin your scenic drive toward Shillong, the charming capital of Meghalaya—fondly known as the "Abode of Clouds." Along the way, enjoy a stop at the serene Umiam Lake (also known as Barapani), followed by visits to the picturesque Golf Course and the tranquil Ward’s Lake. Arrive in Shillong by afternoon and check in to your hotel. The evening is yours to unwind or explore at your leisure—perhaps take a stroll through the vibrant Police Bazar. Overnight stay in Shillong.

 

 DAY 03 : Excursion to Cherrapunji – A Day Amidst Nature’s Wonders.
After a hearty breakfast, set off for an unforgettable day trip to Cherrapunji—one of the wettest places on Earth. On the way, soak in panoramic views from Shillong Peak, perched at an elevation of approximately 6,433 feet. Continue your journey through Meghalaya s breathtaking landscape with visits to Elephant Falls, the majestic Nohkalikai Falls, the mysterious Mawsmai Caves, and the spectacular Seven Sisters Falls. As the day winds down, return to Shillong in the evening. Relax and unwind with an overnight stay at your hotel.

 

DAY 04 : Day Excursion to Mawlynnong & Dawki – Asia’s Cleanest Village, Living Root Bridge, and the Crystal-Clear Umngot River

After breakfast, proceed for a day excursion to Mawlynnong. This village is the cleanest village in Asia. Here,  you can see the famous Living Root Bridge and sky walk [Located a little away from the entry point to Mawlynnong, there stands the Sky Walk, a unique structure that gives a glimpse to the neighbouring country of Bangladesh. It is an eco-friendly ladder-like structure that has been made entirely of bamboo poles tied to branches of six trees using jute and bamboo ropes. No nails or any metal has been used in putting the structure together.] Then, walk around the charming Mawlynnong Village is really a heavenly feeling. After visiting sky walk we will go to see the another wonder of Meghalaya, the famous natural root bridge or you can say living root bridge. [These are naturally built bridges mainly built by firstly planting two rubber trees of the Ficus elastica on either side of a river. These trees usually take about a decade to grow and generate secondary aerial roots.]

After that, we will visit Dawki [Dawki is most famous among tourists for the fascinating Umngot River, also known as Dawki River, which features water so clear it could be mistaken for a see-through glass. And also for a

the enjoyable boat ride, this place is also famous for the Indo-Bangladesh international border.]

After covering those sightseeing we will return back to our hotel at Shillong and take night rest there.

 

 

 

DAY 05 : Journey to Kaziranga – Into the Wild Heart of Assam’s Iconic National Park

Early morning, depart from Shillong for Kaziranga National Park (approx. 266 km), a UNESCO World Heritage Site and renowned Tiger Reserve. Home to over 80% of the world’s one-horned rhinoceroses, the park also shelters Asian elephants, wild water buffaloes, and an incredible diversity of wildlife and bird species—over 400 in total—thriving in its rich mix of grasslands, wetlands, and evergreen forests. Overnight stay in Kaziranga.

 

DAY 06 : Wildlife Adventure & Journey to Guwahati – From the Jungles of Kaziranga to the Gateway of Assam

After breakfast, set out for a thrilling morning jungle safari in Kaziranga, spotting exotic wildlife in their natural surroundings. Return to the hotel for lunch, then check out and proceed to Guwahati (approx. 204 km). Enjoy an overnight stay in Guwahati.

 

DAY 07 : Sacred Mornings & Serene Evenings – Kamakhya Temple Visit and Leisure Time in Guwahati.

Start your day with an early morning visit to the sacred Kamakhya Temple, one of India’s most revered Shakti Peethas. Return to the hotel by lunchtime. The rest of the day is at leisure for personal activities or exploration. Overnight stay in Guwahati.

 

DAY 08 : Farewell Assam and Meghalaya – Departure from Guwahati with Heartfelt Memories

After breakfast, check out from the hotel around 10:30 AM and proceed to Guwahati Railway Station for your return journey.

 

DAY 09 : Homebound with Memories – Return to Howrah/Kolkata

Head back to Howrah/Kolkata, bringing along the cherished memories of an unforgettable journey through the Northeast.
